Have you heard No Broken Hearts featuring Nicki Minaj? Better yet, have you watched the music video? Bebe Rexha clearly wants to receive viewer's discretion and earn your hard to grab attention.

The young Albanian singer is hot right now for one major reason. She has what it takes. Bebe is being compared to Kylie Jenner by Billboard. Plus, like Kylie kissing her is on everybody's to-do list.

Write Bebe Rexha down on your calendar when planning for entertainment venues this year. Consider adding a date to attend her concerts. I know you can't wait until she goes on tour. She's going to win a Grammy soon; mark my word. She may even win the prestigious Best New Artist Grammy.

Tim McGraw Vs. Garth Brooks

You can only have one. Who do you choose between Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks? Who do you believe is better? I think Tim McGraw wins in the long term, but right now Garth Brooks is the best man for the job.

My motto is “may the best man win.” Moreover, May We All McGraw is letting Garth Brooks outshine him these days. You see Garth Brooks is greater in the short term. His Amazon commercials demonstrate his ability to generate massive appeal. Where are the McGraw advertisements, seriously? Maybe, I'm missing the placements.

For what it's worth, Tim McGraw has won one more Grammy than Garth Brooks (3 to 2). However, Brooks has earned 22 Academy of Country Music Awards compared to McGraw's 14. What does this say about the two country music singers? Maybe, McGraw is more mainstream and Brooks is true country.

Both celebrities deserve respect because they are legends. Is this the Luke Bryan Vs. Blake Shelton argument all over again? Luke and Blake are legends in the making. But I believe they would rather be in McGraw's shoes than Brooks' boots.

It is important to pay tribute to legends while they are still here. These days celebrities are becoming scarce. In 2016, we lost a plethora of legendary entertainers. Let's appreciate who we have and show some respect. In the words of Garth Brooks, we have to appreciate them as “if tomorrow never comes.”

What's wrong with comparing celebrities? Entertainment is about having fun and escaping from harsh realities. Besides, competition makes for better music.

Let's go back to the question at hand. Remember, you can only have one. The answer depends on whether you want your steak rare or well done.

I don't mind waiting for the flower to bloom, so I choose Tim McGraw. McGraw is a sensible choice for a guru, who loves Country. I'll take my time meditating, then I'll listen to Tim sing.

Nowadays, the deep sounding voice is rare in music. That's what makes Aloe Blacc a diamond in the rough. Now, he's not Barry White but you get the picture. It's hard to argue with the fact Aloe is special. He's another John Legend.

Before John Legend fans launch an attack on me, allow me to explain myself. John Legend is a far better singer than Aloe Blacc and almost everybody else. However, what Aloe Blacc lacks in raw talent, he makes up for with soul. You can't deny that Aloe Blacc is one of the most passionate crooners showbiz has ever seen.

Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Justin Timberlake and most other male vocalists are known for their high pitches. But who wants to live in a world where music all sounds the same? No knock on Biebs, Mends, and Timbs but the fans have spoken. They want something different from the status quo.

Aloe Blacc is different. He doesn't subscribe to the status quo at all. You know how they say some writers such as Herman Melville were ahead of their time. I believe this singer is ahead of his time.

Here's why...

He crosses genres. Who else sings pop, country, and hip-hop? You could say that Nelly crosses all three genres but I remind you that the Hot in Here artist is a rapper.

What is more, Aloe Blacc makes meaningful music. The singer sings about what's important in the world. He doesn't brag about how much money he makes and how many girlfriends he has or the good life. Did you know his nickname is Mr. Frugal? I call this Hollywood Conservatism.

I've been following Aloe Blacc since his I Need A Dollar days. Green Lights is one of my favorite Aloe Blacc songs. Moreover, I play I'm the Man (Explicit version) when I feel the need. Lately, I've been casually listening to his songs on Vevo.

Florida Georgia Line is making waves in country music. They understand their fans and vice versa. Teaming up with Tim McGraw was an intelligent move. Moreover, May We All contains a strong message. You see life is a race and sometimes you got to pull your foot off the gas and put it on the break. I can't think of many more 2016 songs as awesome as May We All.

2. She's Got A Way With Words By: Blake Shelton

2^nd on my list is She's Got A Way With Words By: Blake Shelton. The Voice coach has trained his voice to reach higher degrees. There's something chilly and hot about She's Got A Way With Words. This could have easily been the number one song. Blake belts out this ballad with fire on his tongue. You'd think he were a dragon.

The number one country song of 2016 is Cole Swindell's Middle of A Memory. I believe this is Cole Swindell at his absolute best. Even William Shakespeare couldn't have written more eloquent lyrics. 2016 was an awesome year in music history. Everyone from casual listeners to music buffs were clearly entertained. Beyonce and Justin Timberlake both have demonstrated why they are still on top of the pop charts. On this special day, I will countdown my top 5 favorite pop songs this year. Enjoy!

5. 24 K Magic By: Bruno Mars

When I first heard this song, I didn't like it that much. However, something magical happened the second time. I saw Bruno Mars perform 24 K Magic live on Saturday Night Live and my mind changed instantly. This song easily makes my top list now, because Bruno's techniques are legendary. Nothing beats the singer's vocals at their best.

24 K Magic gets the party started better than the Black Eyed Peas Let's Get It Started. I like it more than Uptown Funk. You see Bruno Mars is a dangerous man with some money in his pocket and you gotta keep up or you'll get lost. Moreover, the lyrics are exciting.

4. Starboy By: The Weeknd

I can't say anything bad about the Weeknd. Starboy shows why The Weeknd is a star. Did you catch his Victoria's Secret Fashion Show performance? He stole the spotlight from supermodels. I listen to This Is What You Came For every other day because Calvin Harris generates electric music. You need this celebrity like you need electricity. Boldly, I dare say that Calvin Harris is a modern day Elton John. Plus, his collaborations are always genius. Calvin finds the right vocals and mixes it with the right instruments. His calculations are never off a fraction.

Does everybody love listening to Work By: Rihanna or what? The repetition, the beat, and the rhythm are 3 things that make this song worth it's weight in gold. It is a priceless masterpiece of a song. Rihanna is obviously one of my favorite pop singers. And this is my favorite song by her. Rihanna is someone else I can't speak a bad word about. Work is amazing!

Lady Gaga earns the number one spot on my countdown. Perfect Illusion came out at the perfect time. Gaga has shown throughout the years she isn't a one hit wonder. What is more, Perfect Illusion broke the Internet. Apparently, YouTube crashed as a result of this video's release. I choose Perfect Illusion By: Lady Gaga because the song has a certain intrinsic value. Only Lady Gaga could do it.

I like Willie Nelson because of his longevity. The man is 83 and performs as if he were still 33. We've got to respect the legends while they're still here. It's just like giving grandpa his respect during the Holidays. Now, wouldn't it be cool if Willie were your grandpa? Did you know Willie was raised by his grandparents?

Imagine snow sledding with Willie on a November night in Aspen, Colorado. We would visit Dolly Parton and paint the town red together. Just because he's an outlaw doesn't mean we'll get into trouble. The outlaw might get us into a lot of fun.

I'm getting older myself and I've been noticing things, you know. I've seen singers turn into legends and legends die. Rest in peace David Bowie. Moreover, I've seen legends live also. Tony Bennett just turned 90 in August. This guy was around with Frank Sinatra.

Bennett is one of the oldest active entertainers alive. I want to be 100 years old and still blogging. Plus, I want to be rocking hard like Mick Jagger. Right now, I've got them moves like Jagger.

Willie Nelson and Tony Bennett are living legends. When Tony Bennett walks in a room he's supposed to receive a standing ovation automatically. Willie Nelson shouldn't have to go to jury duty or court, even if he shot the sheriff; because in the words of Bob Marley it was self defense.

All I am saying is we must honor the elders of music. They opened the doors yesterday for today's celebrities. Where would Garth Brooks be without Willie Nelson? Doesn't Blake Shelton echo Willie's sound? And don't you see Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr. bowing down to Tony?

Tony Bennett and Willie Nelson came a long way. Bennett almost died from a cocaine overdose. Nelson has been arrested more than a handful of times. At the end of the day, everybody makes mistakes. The key is to learn from them and to keep making them. Just don't keep making the same ones.

Can Jason Derulo compete with Chris Brown?

Why isn't Jason Derulo a bigger name? Thankfully, New Year's Rockin' Eve has recognized his greatness. Jason Derulo and Panic! at the Disco are scheduled to perform on the annual special according to Billboard.

Now, maybe Jason Derulo isn't a bigger name because he hasn't dated Rihanna. Or you could say he isn't as talented as Chris Brown; but I don't think that's the case. I believe Jason is a bonafide entertainer, who doesn't rely on luck.

Although Derulo doesn't have as many collaborations with superstars like Chris Brown, he's still a superstar. The entertainment industry requires patience. What is more, greatness takes time to develop. In due time, Jason's name will light up in big words on Usher's level. You see his style and career compares favorably with Usher.

Jason Derulo already has a big name at 27 years old. And it's only going to get bigger in 2017. Landing a major contract deal with New Year's Rockin' Eve means the world, believe me.

I learned about Jason Derulo because I'm a huge Jordin Sparks fan. Now although their relationship didn't work out, I won't penalize Jason for it. You see, the entertainment business will break your heart if you let it. Celebrities date celebrities because coworkers date coworkers. And they breakup for the same reasons.

Everything is a learning process. And Jason Derulo has learned the definitions of patience and greatness. Every time, he takes the stage you'll notice the purpose in his eyes. Nothing about this guy is mediocre.

Moreover, the Want to Want Me singer is on every woman's Christmas list. You should see this singer rehearse. He sings with passion and that's the bottom line. Somebody told me if you do what you love to do, you will never work a day in your life. Jason Derulo is living the good life.

He can compete with Chris Brown or anybody for that matter.

Bringing Spice Girls Back Into Our Lives

It's an emergency. We're in the E.R. Room right now. Guru Jay is about to resuscitate the Spice girls. Call it a reunion if you will.

I know what I'm doing. I spent time studying under the best doctors, although I don't have a medical degree; I'm a Guru damn it. I'm the greatest one you know in fact. I've mediated to the music of Dr. Dre. I'm sure you seen some of my Tweets #GuruJay.

Let's not digress from the matter at hand. I've got lives to save. I'll start with Mel B (Scary Spice) first because she's a judge on America's Got Talent; and you know, I scout talent with an eagle eye .

Mel B has 1.06 million Twitter followers, along with 265,000 Facebook likes. She's made a name for herself ever since the Spice Girls broke up in early 2000. Do you follow her on Twitter and like her on Facebook?

Next up is Mel C (Sporty Spice). Did you know she sold over 500,000 copies of her Reason album? She's one of my favorites because her voice melts my heart. Nowadays, the Capricorn is keeping a low profile but I expect this to change pretty soon.

The third Spice girl I will resuscitate is Emma Bunton (Baby Spice). I think she's a wonderful actress. Emma delivers amazing performances in some of Bollywood's best movies. You should check them out. Moreover, she has the voice for radio and the face for TV. She has hosted the Saturday Show since 2009. Plus Emma presents Breakfast with Jamie Theakston.

Fourth is Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice). She's enjoying the Spice of her life- Christian Horner. They married in 2015.

Last but not least, I will resuscitate Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice). Can you believe she's still married to David Beckham? She's built a name as a major fashion designer.

Now that they're all resuscitated they can go on their reunion tour.

Who does it better than Bon Jovi? Born in 1983, the group outflanks all competitors. Bon Jovi knows how to put their best foot forward.

What's on your playlist? I listen to You Give Love A Bad Name all the time. I also have Livin' on a Prayer added on there. After all, in this cruel world isn't everybody livin' on a prayer. “Take my hand we'll make it I swear.”

Bon Jovi speaks to the soul. The members are like priests performing exorcisms with their music. These celebrities take the time to put their blood, sweat, and tears into their songs.

The I'll Be There For You band has constantly topped the charts. With 2.35 million Twitter followers and counting, they sell records from Johannesburg to New England. They also put up big numbers at shows.

You see Bon Jovi's performances spark wonders. You can count on Jon Bon Jovi to stretch his voice to the seventh heaven. David Bryan may not be as famous as Luke Bryan but he can pick the keys one by one. And don't get me started on Tico Torres. Saying that Tico Torres bangs the drum better than most is an understatement. Hugh Mcdonald doesn't make a mistake on the bass. Finally, the blazing guitar of Phil X completes the recipe that is all of Bon Jovi.

To answer my question, no one does it better than Bon Jovi.

CBS aired the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last night at 10 PM. All eyes were watching the models strut the stage. And all ears were listening to the lullabies of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd.

Overall, I enjoyed seeing the sights from Paris on my HD TV screen. I can only imagine how nice it would be to see the show in 3D or going to the show live in person. Many celebrities were in attendance. It was great entertainment. Bruno Mars and The Weeknd showed up big time.

The question I want to know is Bruno Mars still better than The Weeknd. I believe The Weeknd may have usurp Bruno Mars in popularity. For the record, I consider Bruno to be the best singer in the entertainment business. Who can deny his vocal ability?

Bruno is even a better entertainer than the Weeknd. However, the Weeknd wins right now because of his undeniable style. Plus, his lyrics from his latest album are better than Bruno's 24 K magic. Side to side, I would rather listen to the Weeknd's Starboy album simply for the well-written verses. Still, they have both created hot beats with their new sounds.

The Weeknd currently holds 2 Guinness World Records. He has the most streamed album on Spotify in 1 year. Plus, he holds the record for most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 by a Solo Male Artist.

Do you doubt that the famous Canadian and Hawaiian will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame one day? Who will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame first? The Bruno Mars/ The Weeknd rivalry is real. They probably dream about each other.

2016 AMAs Recap

2016 AMAs Recap

Last year's AMAs may have been the best ever. What's better than the best? This year the AMAs tried to do the impossible and succeeded.

Hats off to Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharaoh for hosting. Hadid was hot as ever and Pharaoh was funny as hell. It was an interesting combination.

Plus, let's acknowledge Bruno Mars' grand entrance. Bruno Mars displayed master showmanship. You must have loved those incredible dance moves he stuck. He didn't miss a beat. And he didn't miss a note singing either.

Fans were treated to an amazing show. Fifth Harmony immediately grabbed everybody's attention. They showed the world why they are the fabulous five last night.

The Weeknd made his triumph return. And it seemed like Drake took home every award imaginable. It was nice seeing fellow Canadians Justin Bieber (via Europe tour) and Shawn Mendes perform.

Niall Horan did his number. Lady Gaga did her thing. Robert Downey Jr. did a tribute to Sting.

You had all the Hollywood stars there.

One could argue Sunday night belonged to Green Day. Other big winners included Twenty One Pilots, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and the Chainsmokers. Talk about sensational. Twenty One Pilots turned the stage into an airplane.

I think Shawn Mendes Treat You Better could have been better. It was just okay if I'm being honest. However, his Mercy performance was above average border lining great. I believe he was a bit nervous.

Overall, you can't underestimate the entertainment value of the AMAs. From Lady Gaga to Sting, every performance had exceptional merit. We may not have liked everything but we can agree on some things. For one thing the AMAs were very entertaining.

Right now, the best thing about Fifth Harmony is Camila Cabello. She is the talk of the town. Everyone wants to know if the songstress will start a solo career. I believe a Fifth Harmony breakup is inevitable. The real question is when will Camila gear up her launching pads.

For the record, I urge Fifth Harmony to stay the course because the female group could be bigger than both Destiny's Child and the Spice Girls. However, I understand logistics and the music industry. Managing 1 ego in showbiz opposed to 5 is a lot simpler, don't you agree? Plus, the record label would have an easier time splitting the money 4 ways.

Can you imagine Fifth Harmony without Camila Cabello though? What would they sound and look like without the lead singer? Who would takeover as the new face of the team? Clearly, this young entertainer has made a major name for herself in a short span of time.

I'm also on record saying if the celebrity can become another Beyonce then by all means let's break them up. Let's not stay together for the sake of an Al Green song. Jokes aside, Guru Jay is all about promoting the crème de la crème in entertainment. Senorita Cabello has proven she's worth it.

Now we can blame Shawn Mendes or Machine Gun Kelly. We can point fingers at Taylor Swift and others. But what good would that do?

We can compare the 5'2” Latina with Zayn. If Zayn hadn't left One Direction, then Pillowtalk would have never been a smashing hit. Aren't you interested in what this Cubana can do on her own?

We've seen Selena (Mexico), Shakira (Colombia). Maybe, it's time for Camila *Cuba.

After spending time reading the tea leaves, I've determined Camila Cabello is determined to leave Fifth Harmony and launch a solo career for the betterment of entertainment.

Michael Bublémay be the best Christmas season singer of all time. He compares favorably with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Mariah Carey. Without question, his Christmas album makes Guru Jay's top 5. What more does Michael Bubléhave left to prove?

Plus, as a singer/celebrity his star power shines/glows like a supermoon. For some reason, whenever it snows I think about Bublé. Does he build a compelling case for mother nature and environmental lovers to consume or what? You must love how much the I Believe In You celebrity believes in you all- his fans.

Additionally, The Nobody But Me singer understands how to be himself in front of many others. He doesn't mind being selfish sometimes, which is a good thing. Now, arrogance is another thing all together. He doesn't currently lead 2.43 million Twitter followers by accident.

Moreover, this talented Canadian born musician has won 4 Grammys. Did you know Bubléis a naturalized Italian citizen as well? In other words, his music literally has international reach and global appeal.

“Don't know what the country's coming to. But in Rome do as the Romans do. Will you on an evening in Roma.” Dean Martin said it best: Sott'er Celo De Roma, but Michael Bublé's version is still great.

According to NASA, skywatchers haven't seen a supermoon this close since 1948. Likewise, music enthusiasts won't hear of another Michael Bubléfor generations. Maybe, Michael Bublé really is music's supermoon.

Have you seen Harry Connick Jr.'s new talk show? The former American Idol judge hosts the self-titled Harry show. It's a fun and upbeat show similar to Ellen DeGeneres's The Ellen Show.

I've seen Harry multiple times. I watched him today right before TMZ Live. Maureen McCormick from the Brady Bunch was his main guest. Everybody in attendance had a good time. Plus, the viewers at home (including me) were pleased.

Near the end of the recording, Harry performed a beautiful song and played the piano. Few people in TV and showbiz are multitalented. What is more, no one can deny his masterful skills.

Born and bred in New Orleans, this celebrity's calling card is his likability. Everybody loves Raymond and Harry too. Connick Jr. possesses the pizzazz. Like Bradley Cooper, he mixes up the gumbo. The secret ingredient is charisma.

Good Morning America's Michael Strahan was bestowed the same gift. I call this the Like Factor. All Harry has to do is smile a little. That's all. And, he'll possibly replace Billy Bush on the Today show.

Music makes the world go 'round. Hear what I'm saying, now. Everything can potentially become music to your ears. The way she speaks to you in that special tone is music. The way our car engine rumbles is music.

Guru Jay thinks he has figured out the world. Let me elaborate some more. Let's start the show!

Today's blog is all about music and greatness. Who is the greatest music artist? Maybe, Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Prince in that order.

A better question is who's music makes the world go 'round the most. I feel that's a difficult question to answer because first of all what defines the world? Are we living under the same sun but in two different worlds?

I've climbed a different mountain than you. I've seen Hollywood stars through a different set of lens. Did you know I wear glasses? Not prescription but sunglasses because I'm cool. And you ladies and gents are the coolest fans on the Planet Earth. I know I've got some cool fans on Mars by now. Shout out to Elon Musk and Google.

Where are my Michael Jackson fans? You all are the most precious on the globe. Happy Belated Halloween! Because this is “Thriller, Thriller, Night. You're fighting for your life!”

Maybe, Prince was the greatest because he owned all his work. The artist known by a symbol was a true businessman. He left behind wealth in terms of financial and musical.

Maybe, nobody can be better than Elvis. In total, Elvis sold approximately 1 billion records. So it's safe to say if alive he would be a billionaire. What is more, he has nearly 1 billion fans. It seems like there a billion Presley impersonators. Plus,the Blue Suede shoe salesman leads a quarter million Twitter followers.

Amy Winehouse: Music Industry's Angel

Amy Winehouse was England's Janis Joplin. Without question, Amy is singing with the angels now. Winehouse and Joplin may very well be recording duets produced by Saint Peter himself.

The legendary songstress established a legacy of greatness. This celebrity was one of a kind in a full house of Hollywood stars. You see the spotlight shined on her everyday. Also, no one can question her amazing abilities.

I highly recommend Amy (2015) because the documentary film showcases the entertainer's originality. You'll like how the music artist became unique. Plus, you'll appreciate her vocals much better after seeing this expert performer go to work.

At her peak, she wasn't more popular than Britney Spears; but that didn't matter. All that matters is the music she gave to the world. And the music she gave was a life of empathy and kindness.

In a sense, Amy's name is synonymous with music. Scratch that. Amy means music in every language!Plus, like Lady Gaga the young lady was fearless and she made bold moves.

Winehouse passionately crooned. Maybe, she was best known for Back to Black or back to Rehab. So the story goes...In her own words to paraphrase a bit “Yes I been black but when I come back...they tried to make me go to rehab. I won't go.” She said NO NO to celebrity rehab.

What Chuck Berry is to Rock and Roll, what Bono is to U2, Amy Winehouse was to Neo Soul. She developed new sounds in the studio booth and on the concert stage. Who can deny Amy Winehouse her legendary status? She rightfully claimed her throne in England like Janis did in America.

In a nutshell, Amy meant the world to the music industry because she pioneered a creative sound. Her vocal chords stretch toward the heavens. It is my honor and privilege to write this tribute to a great soul.

My Bob Dylan Story

Times are a changing. Oh was Bob Dylan right. I've been hard at work trying to create a masterpiece.

Right now, I'm writing on the back of typing paper with an ink pen. Before this I started writing the Bob Dylan story on my Apple computer. In other words, I took my precious time on this blog and I accept star treatment.

You see, most writers just go to Starbucks, drink their Grandes, and write their blogs. Well at Guru Jay, I create original entertainment stories which will blow your mind. Maybe, I might just show the behind the scenes creation. I've written over 400 blogs and each one is different. It's a piece of me. So with that said. Here you go, my friend.

It's official. Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature. What more can the 75 year old accomplish?

Some people don't win a prize, let alone a Nobel Prize. We're rewarded for our efforts sometimes. Other times we work and work and work like Rihanna and nothing happens. That's when you gotta pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and make it happen. In the end, longevity can come.

The legendary Bob Dylan made things happen; and, he's making it happen right now. His boots were made for walking but this ain't a Jessica Simpson song. Yes, Bob Dylan sings things. No, I can't get you his autograph.

It seems music (everything, really) is taken too literal today. Beyonce says Becky with the good hair and everybody automatically assumes she's referring to an actual person. We need more metaphors in music such as Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone. Moreover, Like the Rolling Stones say “You can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need.” You see Bob Dylan's music doesn't fall on deaf ears.

Howdy! Miley Cyrus is her name and music is her game. I wonder if the Dead Petz celebrity has any pet peeves. Anyway, let's start the show.

Fans were Partying in the U.S.A. when Miley Cyrus became a Voice coach. I've watched this season of the Voice so far, mainly for Miley. Wasn't that clever how the singer enlisted Dolly Parton in order to form her team? Who wouldn't want to be chosen for Team Miley?

In addition, Miley Cyrus will remain on my VIP list forever. I support my celebrities and I'm loyal without a doubt. Even when she marries Liam Hemsworth, I will still like her because she's hot. No matter what I'm down for the Cyrus cause.

Plus, I love Miley's personality. The entertainer is nonjudgmental. She can sing her ass off; and bake a cake at the same time. What?!

You could argue Miley Cyrus is in the process of building a bigger name than Britney Spears. All the planets orbit around Miley Cyrus. Right now, she has 31 million Twitter followers. Britney is beating her with 47 million. However, things change.
