It is important to win the crowd over and get them on your side. Not everyone can do this effectively. Greatness takes time, dedication, and practice. The best in showbiz don't become famous overnight.

Russell Peters is one of the greats. He belongs in the best standup comedians conversation. You see Russell engages in risky behaviors and his audience loves him for that.

This comic will make fun of anybody. Hell, he'll even make fun of himself. When you're not afraid to tell jokes, you sell out crowds easier. Moreover, he tackles challenging subjects in a sarcastic manner.

Actors come in many shapes, colors, and sizes. Natalie Portman is an actress of the finest variety. Standing 5'3”, the brunette is entering her prime earning years at age 35.

The Academy Award winning actress has a ton of earning power left still. Portman plays real life First Lady Kennedy in the Jackie movie. Moreover, you can expect a top notch performance from her in the Annihilation movie, which is currently in post-production. As long as the Hollywood star continues to make relevant films, she'll never be out of work. There's a reason this celebrity is always on the job.

Without question, screenwriters keep her in mind when developing their characters and plot. You can't tell me the Black Swan wasn't made especially for Natalie Portman. Her role in Thor was also noteworthy. The Thor movies have generated north of $1 billion thus far. You'll find Portman doesn't disappoint you at the box office or on the red carpet.

The celebrity is making strides toward perfection. Natalie Portman's career compares favorably to Katherine Hepburn. Natalie's name rivals Julia Roberts if you ask me. Any producer/director would love working with Portman because she's extremely talented. They would feel honored as well as lucky to have her.

Natalie Portman doesn't show any signs of slowing down. No doubt the Other Boleyn Girl taught Scarlett Johansson a few tricks. She's one of the best actresses because she's built a voluptuous body of work. Plus, the beautiful actress has been blessed with irresistible genes.

The Harvard educated thespian seized her opportunity to shine among the brightest stars. She's created a path of greatness. Portman paid the price of admission; and, that's why actresses such as Kristen Stewartare able to flourish.

Moviegoers expect the best from Natalie Portman movies. The Hollywood star delivers greatness to each scene. It's easy to see why Natalie Portman is worth $1 billion.

Why Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Is On Top Of The World

2016 has been a great year for Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson so far. According to Forbes, he is the highest paid actor- racking in a grand total of $64.5 million. It sounds like he hit the jackpot, doesn't it? Plus, People magazine named him Sexiest Man Alive.

Right now, The Rock is on top of the world. His new movie Moana hits theaters on November 23^rd. Credit his “old” movie San Andreas for bringing home most of the bacon last year. Without a doubt, Dwayne Johnson shakes things up whenever possible and slices matters with his muscles for an added bonus.

He's capable of starring in action, drama, and comedy. Action movie Furious 7 is one of my favorite films. Rest in peace Paul Walker. His chemistry with Vin Diesel is amazing. Who remembers the dramatic Gridiron Gang featuring Xzibit? Have you seen the very funny Central Intelligence?

Dwayne Johnson has a long road behind and in front of him. He's come a long way since his World Wrestling Entertainment days. On a side note, who could forget: If you smell what the Rock is cooking? What is more, the 44 year old is only scratching the surface of his potential greatness.

I highly recommend watching Hercules. Hercules showcases The Rock's strengths, literally. Indeed, the celebrity is physically fit but let's not forget his acting strength as well. It takes a certain degree of skill in order to consistently score big and win fans over at the box office.

Maybe, 2017 may be an even better year for Dwayne Johnson than 2016. Fast 8, Baywatch, and Jumanji are highly anticipated movies debuting next year. I hope you stick around for more fun at Guru Jay. A better question is who's music makes the world go 'round the most. I feel that's a difficult question to answer because first of all what defines the world? Are we living under the same sun but in two different worlds?

I've climbed a different mountain than you. I've seen Hollywood stars through a different set of lens. Did you know I wear glasses? Not prescription but sunglasses because I'm cool. And you ladies and gents are the coolest fans on the Planet Earth. I know I've got some cool fans on Mars by now. Shout out to Elon Musk and Google.

You get my drift. If Anna Fariscarved her career path out with a machete, Kristen Bell made waves with a surfboard. Many men fantasize about getting CPR from this hot Lifeguard lead actress.

It appears Kristen Bell is done with lying on the House of Lies but she's still in the house. I watched the first two episodes of the Good Place and I'm impressed. I'm not won over easily. You have to go the extra mile and knock it out the park with me. Having high standards is rare.

Comedy offers possibilities. Seth Rogen should play a role in Mission Impossible. He could spend some extra time in the gym with Tom Cruise's personal training help.

Canada's complete comedic actor puts the “Can” in Canada. You thought I was going to say trash or recycle bin maybe, didn't you? My advice is to light up your cigars because this thing called life is hard sometimes.

You see comedians light up the world in dark times. We need more laughter and less tears. That's why I'm blogging about comedy today.

Seth Rogen is one of my favorite comedians. You could argue that he is one of the best in showbiz. He just does a good job imitating Drake- that's all.

I'll never forget his joke about Facebook in Funny People. He gave Jonah Hill a comedy lesson. Plus, Adam Sandler got a few pointers (or should I say Pokes) from Seth.

I highly recommend watching Pineapple Express. Who else can't wait to see Seth and James Franco star in Pineapple Express 2? For one, Rogen and Franco go together like beans and cornbread. Who remembers Green Latern? Have you seen the controversial Interview movie?

I like Seth Rogen because he regulates the comedy world. Seth understands how to Dougie. He can teach you how to do it too.

From Hotel Rwanda to House of Lies, Don Cheadle has come a long way. Great actors come along in not so great times. And Don defines greatness.

You see Cheadle can play anyone, and he does it all too well. Moreover, he is instantly recognizable whether at the Waldorf Astoria or up in Harlem at the Cotton Club. Everybody likes Don Cheadle.

He readjusts his mirrors when the time is right. Plus, there is never a dull moment with the movie star in the driver's seat. I'm also interested in seeing Don Cheadle take his director's chair to the next level.

The chemistry between Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell is amazing. Maybe, I'll write a blog about Bell pretty soon. Didn't he bring the best out of her? Cheadle brings out the best in people because he is the best. That's why actors enjoy working with him. They strive for greatness together.

You see he has fans all over the world. Cheadle's starred in blockbusters and critically acclaimed films alike. It is incredible watching him perform with Robert Downey Jr in Iron Man and Captain America. What is more, he easily plays good cop/ bad cop. The Brooklyn's Finest actor has finely tuned his instrument. Who can deny Don Cheadle's talented abilities?

I feel Don Cheadle is elite because of his dedication. How else do you explain why House of Lies ran 5 successful seasons on Showtime? Without commitment at the top, nothing really happens.

Here's the truth about House of Lies. The show could have gone on forever. Cheadle's that much of an asset to any cast. Whatever the situation you put him in, he continually rises to the occasion.

Does he disappoint sometimes? Sure. I think Traitor was a blunder on his part. Still, you can't succeed without learning from failure.

The generous Ellen DeGeneres generates electricity on the Ellen show. When the lights are out, the first thing you do is call the electric company. How about giving Ellen a call the next time this happens. I can't make any promises but I'm sure she'll at least make you smile.

For 14 years Ellen has been doing exactly that and eating the cake. Everyday on the Ellen Show is like your birthday. You never know what's up her sleeves. The celebrity is full of surprises.

Soon, she'll be giving away cars to everybody like Oprah did. Like orange is the new black, Ellen is the new Oprah. You watch.

Wouldn't it be great if she starred on the Netflix hit OITNB? At a minimum, she could make a cameo or maybe voiceover even. Who's waiting?

Her creativity assists in an entertaining experience. Speaking of experience, who else in showbiz (but Oprah) can match her clout?

Another thing- what if she did Carpool Karaoke with James Corden? That's why I love celebrities and entertainment so much. There's a whole lot we can do. Let your imagination run wild and I'll take you there.

Last week was premiere week on Ellen. I got a chance to watch the full Friday show live. In case you missed it, Tom Hanks made a grand entrance. What is more, DeGeneres donated her largest gift in history to her home state of Louisiana. As you may know, Louisiana got hit hard by flooding recently.

Ellen couldn't stand by and watch this devastation. This is why Britney Spears (who took the famous Ed O'Neill Selfie) joined the team. Right now, it is incredible that the talk show host is backing up her words with action.

Moreover, the I'm Yours singer's lyrics are a mix between a biomedical engineer's equation and a poet's stanza. Did you know Alessia Cara actually writes poetry and plays the guitar?

Without question, Alessia is an asset to showbiz. Plus, the Canadian has many intangible assets. She gets you both excited and indifferent with her singing and songwriting. Here is a genius song written by a 19 year old.

The celebrity competes with the crème de la crème and you know it. Still, it seems Alessia stays in one lane. She's a driven celebrity who drives solo by design.

You can't see everything. Like magic, sometimes you don't see her and right now you do see Alessia Cara. What is more, the celebrity has a solid fan base. She'll soon eclipse 1 million Facebook fans and Twitter followers. Cara can shake, rattle, and roll with Zendaya and Tinashe too.

Who would love to see her on the silver screen? She would probably make a better actress than singer because of her humility. Nowadays, the music industry contain the biggest egos.

Alessia Cara reminds me of Alicia Keys due to her messaging. That is an intangible asset. It's so hard finding lyrics with a deeper meaning.

Anyway, this celebrity was built for the entertainment business- this I know. You'll discover Alessia's durability due to her 'go get it' attitude and firm mindset. She's laid back, but not lazy.

A music brand must be built with platinum bricks. Yes, you can go for the gold but why not go even higher? Maybe, you need to adjust your mirrors once in a while.

It seems Shawn Mendes is the new Justin Bieber. He is dominating YouTube and Twitter. I would argue that his name is more famous than Taylor Swift in Canada. But can there really be another Justin Bieber?

Shawn Mendes just turned 18 years old, and now he has the whole world listening to his music. Remember Justin Bieber got off to an early start too. Isn't that something... they're both Canadian?

Outside Germany, Canada brews the best beer. Outside America, Canada breeds the best singers. Give extra credit to Drake and the Weeknd.

Mendes isn't old enough to drink alcohol in the United States. However, he's able to entertain drunken crowds. Maybe, they should increase the drinking age to 24 because that's when the brain's fully developed. Or maybe they should lower the drinking age to 18 because that's when men and women go to war.

Shawn Mendes puts the 'S' in Showbiz. Everyday he works hard on his craft to get better. Does he have to Show You? His sound is similar to Nick Jonas's Chains. Plus, the Stitches singer knows how to stitch up a track like Lil Wayne.

It's scary in a good way. You see Shawn still has untapped potential. Picture the young celebrity joining up forces with 5 Seconds of Summer on a possible tour. What if he made an entire album with Fifth Harmony? Let's hope Camila Cabello stays the course, although it appears she may go solo.

Music needs more Mendeses' and less one hit wonders. Yes, I love catchy lyrics like you do, but let's ask ourselves- what's the catch? Let's stop sacrificing great music for good.

Tina Fey took Donald under her wing when he was 21 years old as a writer for 30 Rock. Since then, the multi-talented entertainer has released rap albums, starred in comedy specials, and been featured in movies. Without question, the celebrity provides premium entertainment value. That's why he has appeared on premium cable channels such as Comedy Central.

South African sensation Trevor Noah turned his standup career into a comfy desk job. He is the perfect host for the Daily Show. He doesn't just make it look easy; you can tell he's having the time of his life. Nobody can deny the jolly good fellow's energy.

Trevor Noah and Donald Glover are two celebrities who can make a difference with their words. From Johannesburg to Pittsburgh, people care about what Trevor has to say. Moreover, Donald influences the comedy world because he is one of the hottest comedians right now.

Like the greats Richard Pryor and George Carlin, these comics aren't afraid to risk everything. They'll gladly leave it all out on the table if it means creating superior content. Also, their comedic IQs are on genius levels. You rarely see comedians who are able to appeal to everyone.

I chose to write about Donald and Trevor because they have opposing styles. You see the American is laid back and the South African is high-energy. When it's all said and done, we have a winning combination.

At the end of the day, these comedians are relevant. Plus, they make a killing from the comedy game. That's why we need insurance on Donald Glover and Trevor Noah.

This summer has been a hot one from Boston to Sydney. In Michigan, we were lucky to get a breeze on Sunday. I was so happy to get that cool air I had finally wanted. Hopefully, it keeps up.

What exactly is “cool air?” I call it a 5 Seconds of Summer Breeze. You see 5 Seconds of Summer defines coolness. And another word for air is breeze. Plus, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin are keeping it up!

Do you feel the heat? 5 Seconds of Summer blazes with the best of them. I guarantee 5SOS can make you sweat. Just ask their 9.6 million Twitter followers if the pop rock band gets them hot and steamy.

Luckily, the band was discovered by One Direction on YouTube. Can you believe it all started in 2011 on a video streaming website? Right now 5SOS are going in one direction for certain. I bet 5SOS never imagined this level of fame in their wildest dreams. It may get to the point where the music group is actually bigger than One Direction.

Did you know this Australian band of high school classmates opened up for One Direction? Now, the question in showbiz is who can open up for 5 Seconds of Summer. In a matter of years, 5SOS have transitioned from entertainment lightweights to heavyweights. Who can deny that they are some of the most famous people on the planet?

Final thoughts- the 5SOS Rejects have a good story to tell. The truth is that they were rejected. Things weren't easy at first. However, they persevered instead of perspiring. Relax and take time to enjoy the summer breeze if only for 5 seconds.

People can't wait until Lil Wayne drops a beat and 50 Cent drops a dime. It's a constant blast at concerts because these rappers don't stop the music or drop out. In other words, they get the party started and the fans hyped up.

Does it take One Direction to see I'm going somewhere with this? Lil Wayne and 50 Cent are on different levels than regular people. The Young Money rap artist and the I Get Money singer have earned their rights to be braggadocios.

Let Lil Wayne pour champagne on his cellphone. Does it matter if 50 Cent makes it rain in Da Club? He's not into making love anyway.

Rap is poetry. Lil Wayne and 50 Cent are thug poets. They tell vivid stories about their lifestyles before and after fame. They sell flossy images which the media loves to buy at whatever cost. 50 Cent has portrayed a gangster and turned into a legitimate businessman.

Did you know Lil Wayne aka Young Weezy doesn't sleep much? That's because he's superhuman. The celebrity said he'll catch up on ZZZs in retirement.

Moreover, I don't know what you heard about him but 50 Cent is a P.I.M.P. Like Snoop Dogg 50 has built a persona and there's no backing away from that right now. Do you watch Power on Starz? 50 Cent is 1 hell of an actor. He's the man. I really like the bridge to I'm the Man. Shout out to Sonny Digital.

Young Weezy is turning into a nightmare in a good way. Listening to Weezy's rap is like watching a horror movie. There's so much suspense and a lot of fire.

Oh yeah, for some reason I think about popcorn too. Maybe, A Milli gets stuck in your frontal lobe every time you play it. Lil Wayne has that verse: You pop em cause we pop em like Orville Redenbacher.

You see, his lyrics should be dissected like frogs in a science class and digested like peas in a pod.

In a nutshell, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent make money by simply telling vivid stories and selling flossy images.

Nobody, not even Beyonce, can get more famous than Michael Jackson. Beyonce may wind up with more money, but not fame. Let me know if you disagree.

Like Prince, Whitney Houston and Aaliyah Michael Jackson gave his all. He displayed passion and compassion. Further, he was highly regarded as a humanitarian.

When it came to premium entertainers, Michael was the best they came. His singing voice was accurate beyond belief. His dance moves mesmerized crowds. He understood how to entertain. That's why he was great.

When he died, people immediately thought he faked his death like Elvis and Tupac supposedly had done.

What is a premium entertainer? Someone who delivers the best goods and services at the best cost. Keke is never overpaid, although she always works overtime. In other words, Palmer knocks it out the park and puts the ball in the hole. 

How does she control herself? How do YOU control yourself in her presence? The celebrity presents carefully crafted images. What you see is what you get. Moreover, Keke's unbelievable and unforgettable.

Remember the name Keke Palmer for years to come. She could play First Lady Michelle Obama in a movie. This actress is highly capable of winning Golden Globes and Grammys. Maybe, even an Oscar.

She has incredible range not only as an actor but as a singer too. I spent some time watching her music videos today. Her sound is rock solid. She could shake the ground with that voice. I almost lost track of time looking at that sexy girl.
